Utah and stuff

So, I went out to Salt Lake City Utah last week through last weekend. It was pretty fun. My brother got all married up and shit. Anyways it started out with a day full of delayed and rescheduled flights. Yeah it was fun I left from Lafayette with Kari at 9:20 and got to SLC at 9:00 (10:00 Indiana time). Needless to say there was a lot of drinking going on the whole time I was out there. Got to the hotel and went to the bar. I woke up the next day screwed around some then went to have pizza with everyone who came out for the wedding. The pizza was good and the brews were flowing.

The next day (Friday) was the wedding. It was a very nice wedding up at the Alta Lodge in Little Cottonwood Canyon. There were mountains in the background. It was beautiful. I dont think they could have picked a better spot. The ceremony was put on by some lady. Since it was my brother's wedding there was absolutely no mention of any sort of higher beings. She talked a lot about love and that sort of thing. There was also some sort of Cherokee blessing or something in there too.

Then came the reception. Needless to say... open bar. I had quiet a few beers. Kari had quiet a few glasses of wine and was definately done before me. So, my step brother Carter and I carried Kari back to our room. Then I took care of her while she puked and stuff. Then I finally got her to bed.

There was an open house thing the next day. Once again alcohol was served. However, this time oddly there was not nearly as many people partaking in the drinking. Later that day I got on a plane back to Indiana. We were in Lafayette by midnight.

Aside from all that I decided I was gonna start running. So, I took a run yesterday. I dont know how far I went... not too far... but I went til I thought I was gonna die. Too outta shape from being way to lethargic.

Sounds like you had a good time/drank a hell of a lot.

When/if I get married, I'm not going to have any god or anything religious mentioned, either.

Just missed you man, I've been in SLC for a week now. The mountains are so awesome. I went up to alta the other day and just walked around, its so awesome driving back down to the city and seeing the whole valley. This is a really cool city, Id love to come back up with hiking supplies. A SLC to Vegas trip would be nice, stopping at moab and all that jazz on the way down. Did you stay downtown? I was at Monaco for 3 nights, 4 stars, very very swanky and nice. Then some stupid outdoor convention came and i was forced to the motel 6!! what a contrast. Its gross to say the least. It would have been cool to have you come out with us to the bars. oh well, better timing next time.

OK, well, yesterday i decided to play the disc golf course at Solitude resort http://www.skisolitude.com/disc_golf.cfm Check out the distance on hole 18! If you are to lazy to click the link, it was 1219FT!!!!!!! it was the coolest hole ive ever played on any course ever! You throw the disk 1200ft over 400ft drop in elevation. You take a 20 min ski lift up to the top and play the couse up and down the mountain. It was one of the coolest things ive ever done. I have tons of pictures. The website will be back up soon, under a new domain to keep it more private. Ill emial you the URL.
